Cole III

Jade felt so guilty.  She knew she had been to hasty in her decision to take it a step further with Dylan.  She couldn't help but wonder what it meant.  Before Cole cheated she never dreamed of kissing another man let alone full blown cheating.  She didn't even look at other men for the most part.  She blamed him entirely for her actions.  If he hadn't of cheated she would still be perfectly faithful, Right?  Things between Cole and Jade were more of a facade.  Jade and Cole both knew the love they shared had faded but neither of them were willing to let go.  They held on grasping at what was left. 


Cole was scheduled to leave for Iraq that following October.  Jade was prepared to wait faithfully for his return.  With every scheduled tour over seas the soldiers were allotted block leave to have time to say, what could be, there final good byes to their families and loved ones.  Cole had told Jade that he wouldn't be going home to see his family but that he would be staying in town with her.  Jade felt so bad about that and encouraged him to go home to see his family offering to go with him so he could have the best of both worlds and knowing that it could be the last chance he had to see his parents, brother's, nephews and old friends.  He insisted on staying claiming he couldn't afford the plane ticket home anyway. 


Jade called him the Friday his block leave started and got no answer and no return call.  Days went by and she still hadn't heard from him.  She called his friends and still no answer.  Sick with worry she sat by the phone waiting for him to call.  She called the hospitals and found no answers.  A week went by and finally she got a hold of his best friend who informed her that he had gone home to see his family.  The rage she felt was comparable to a tropical storm.  She didn't understand why he would leave with out telling her.  Did she mean nothing to him?  She was after all still his fiance.  Jade called his parents house and got no answer she left a message for him to call her as soon as he could.  He never returned her calls.  Jade could only assume that he was spending what would be his last weeks with April.  She wouldn't be wrong.


Jade decided that him leaving with out having the decency of telling her was the last straw.  Why should she wait for 18 months for him to just come back and continue to be unfaithful.  She was so angry and hurt.  She was finished, done, over it.  She was now going to start living as if she was a young single 21 year old woman so she did.  Her best friend Katrina and her started going out.  Jade started living her life like any normal 21 year old does.  One particular Saturday night Jade ran into Cole's best friend and a few of the other guys from their squadron.  Instead of hiding the fact that she and her girlfriend met a couple of good looking men that night she flaunted it in front of them.  Knowing of course that they would take what they saw and tell Cole about it.  They looked at her puzzled as she stood talking to them with the strangers arms around her.  She told them about how she was done crying over Cole and that her and Cole would no longer be together as a couple.  The guys praised her saying "good for you".  Then Jade grabbed her new admirer and went off to the dance floor.  


Several days later Jade was out and about at a local night club when Cole walked in.  She was dieing on the inside.  The emotions ran through her like a river cutting mountains.  She wanted to cry and yell at him for being so thoughtless but instead she smiled in his face saying how was your trip?  He asked her to go out side with him so they could talk.  Wanting some closure she agreed.  The two sat in his car and he told her about how he was hurt to come home and find out that she had dumped him with out him even knowing it.  Jade naturally laughed at him and said "Well maybe if you had called me I could have told you personally.  Maybe if you had been a normal human being and told me you would be leaving the state for two weeks none of this would have happened but no you chose to run off with out a word and you chose to ignore my calls.  How do you think I felt?  So don't sit there and tell me how hurt you are.  Yes we are done.  I am not going to sit here and wait for you to come back from war so you can just do this to me again.  I'm worth a lot more than this.  I don't deserve to be treated with such disregard."  He admitted to her that him running off was wrong and he told her how sorry he was.  Then Jade asked him what she really wanted to know.  "Did you see April while you were home?"  Cole hesitated for a few moments then said "Yes."  Jade asked him "Did you sleep with her?"  Cole turned his head toward the front of the car and nervously said "I saw her at a party I was drunk and don't remember a lot about the night.  The last thing I remember was her being naked so I don't know."  Jade said "Really, that's the best you can come up with?  I don't know.  So in a nut shell you cheated on me, again, with her.  I don't feel so bad for her now.  She knew you and I were still together and she knowingly fucked you.  At least I didn't have any prior knowledge of her when you and I first got together.  Oh unless you told her that we were finished."  Cole said nothing he just sat there.  Jade reached for the door handle to get out then turned toward him and said "Have a nice life and don't die in Iraq."  Jade stormed across the parking lot and back inside the night club.  She wanted to start ripping off heads. 


Knowing that it was really over this time Jade locked herself in her apartment and mourned the relationship that had just died.  Cole called her and asked her to come and spend his last night in the United States with him at his Barracks room.  Since the men and women would be leaving the next morning they were restricted from leaving base.  Jade knew it would be her last opportunity to see him and so she went feeling like if she didn't go see him she would regret it for the rest of her life.  Jade and Cole embraced each other all night.  The two hugged and kissed and cuddled and made love and talked and cried and laughed.  Neither of them wanted the night to ever end.  They stayed up all night not wanting to miss a second.  Jade and Cole didn't really want to loose each other.  They still shared so much love despite all that had happened.  So Jade promised to wait for him and he promised to return to her. 

Cole II / Dylan I

Since Jade found out the truth about April she had stopped caring so much about Cole's feelings.  She had met a new friend at work named Dylan.  The two of them had become great friends a little harmless flirting but never crossing the line.  Cole and Dylan knew about each other and had met a time or two.  Dylan had become Jade's dearest friend.  Truth be told Jade and Dylan had the hots for each other pretty bad but Jade wasn't the cheatin type and Dylan wasn't the type to mess with a girl that was in a relationship.  They drove each other crazy with their flirting and sexual innuendo's but for the most part never crossed the line.

Jade told Dylan about her proposal to Cole.  Dylan thought she was crazy but emotionally really strong for being able to do something like that and he told her so.  The night came of Cole's big date with whomever she was.  Jade was feeling anxiety over it not knowing if they were having a good time or if they were hooking up.  She hoped they were having an awful time.  Dylan took Jade out that night to a spot over looking the ocean.  The two sat in his truck and talked for hours she told him of her anxiety and all her fears.  He told her the obvious that it was her fault and how she didn't have to let him do it.  She knew he was right.  She didn't know if she was trying to teach herself a lesson or if she was trying to teach Cole a lesson.  Maybe it was just her way of testing the relationship.  It was late and since she hadn't heard from Cole she figured he was definitely hooking up.  The deal was he was supposed to call her as soon as the date was over.  Dylan made his move.  He kissed her under the moon light sitting in his truck over looking the Ocean.  She didn't stop him either.  The two began making out heavily and it didn't stop there.  He slowly slid down her pants revealing her panties.  He then pulled them down throwing them on his dash board.  Jade lay back against the door.  Dylan put his left arm under her right thigh then his right arm under her left thigh.  He eased his head toward her inner thighs and began kissing her softly and slowly.  He proceeded to lick her clitoris gently sucking and kissing.  She moaned in ecstasy.  Grabbing the back of the seat with her left hand and the back of his head with her right.  Arching her back.  She screamed with release.   Oh how she wanted him to take her, she wanted to make love to him or rather just have a good ol' fashion romp session.  But neither of them would take it that far because Jade was still very much in a relationship with Cole.  Even if it was kind of a screwed up one.  

Dylan dropped Jade of later that evening.  The two kissed before she got out of the truck.  She felt so ashamed.  She wasn't a cheater she didn't do things like that but oh it felt so good.  She walked into her apartment to find the light blinking on her answering machine.  She listened intently wondering who it was.  It was Cole!!  He left her a message saying to call him back as soon as she could he sounded drunk.  Her heart beat with anxiety and she wondered why he didn't just call her cell phone.  She picked up the phone and called him.  He told her how he didn't really go on the date because he just couldn't do it he said.  How he sat in his barracks room all night getting drunk with his friends.  She believed him based on how drunk he sounded on the phone.  Oh shit!!!  Shame slapped her in the face.  She couldn't believe it he had a one time free opportunity to sleep with another woman and he didn't do it.  What did that mean that he really wanted to be with her that he was ready or that he couldn't do it knowing that she knew.  Damn it, this did not go at all like Jade planned.  She wanted to tell him how she slipped up with Dylan but decided not to.  In her mind he cheated on her so now they were even.  Except they weren't really cause at least Jade knew and he never would. 

Cole

Jade spent the next two years single for the most part.  She dated a variety of different men.  Some were very nice and caring, others were well, they were just there to fill the gap.  She never let herself date a man for very long and was very weary of the deadly smile.  She had a rule.  She never went out of a date with a man more than three times.  After the third date she would cut them off completely.  Her theory was not to get attached.  I think they even made a movie based on the same theory years later.  Anyway it was working.  She was having a blast.  No more heart break no more tears just pure fun.  After all she was 19 now and living on her own.  Why have one man when you can have ten.  She never slept with any of the men that she dated.  She had a friends with benefits type of situation that was working for her just as equally.  No commitment, no attachment, no cuddling, no pillow talk just pure unadulterated sex.  When the sex was over she kicked him out.  As soon as he got attached and wanted to date her she kicked him to the curb.  She was in control.  And of course NO man ever got to meet her son.  That was her absolute number one rule!!!

Of course all that was until she met Cole.  He was shy and sweet.  So good looking.  He was tall, muscular and I mean built like a brick house muscular.  He had kind loving eyes and another one of those melt you smiles.  He was 6 months younger than she was.  He was a gunner in the Army and oh how he looked good in his uniform.  He had a ruggedly deep voice.  They met at a party that Jade and her room mate Katrina had thrown.  Cole was invited by one of Jade's friends.  The two were introduced.  Jade couldn't help but to notice how hot and shy he was.  I mean really for a man that looks the way he did you'd think he would be more out there and confident.  Jade admired how modest he was.  The two struck up a conversation in the corner of the room.  She did most of the talking seeing as he was so reserved.  The chemistry was definitely there though.  He laughed at her jokes and he tried to make some of his own but epically failed she laughed anyway.  It was the thought that counted after all and he was trying so hard.  You could tell he was nervous.  Come to find out Cole had only been with one girl in his whole life.  He dated her in high school lost his virginity to her and then left for the Army.  

You guessed it Jade fell for him.  The two started out slow but got heavily involved.  He would come over every chance he got.  He would come over when he got off work and stay late into the night sometimes not leaving until an hour before he had to go to work.  They would stay up all night talking and laughing and sharing stories both sad and happy.  Oh and did I mention the sex was incredible!!!  For only being with one woman before Jade the boy had raw talent.  They fell in love and Jade introduced him to her son.  Which was a big deal for her.  She was happy really happy again.

Cole eventually popped the question and asked her to marry him.  She accepted his proposal and he gave her a beautiful diamond ring to seal the deal.  Her family loved him, her son loved him, she loved him.  It was blissful.  In fact he was so kind that she had a bad day and he went out and bought her a beautiful ruby/diamond ring.  The two of them fought like cats and dogs but never went to bed mad.  He thought she was so cute when she was mad and he would tell her so every time.  Which would make her giggle and end the fight.  

Cole had planned to go home for Christmas and told Jade that he would be taking her with him to meet his family.  Jade was so excited about it.  It was a big step for her.  One day weeks before Christmas Jade went to his barracks room on base and spent the night with him.  Even though it was breaking all the rules and they could both get in big trouble.  He snuck her in the back door and no one was the wiser.  The next morning he left her sleeping as he went to work.  Now through out their whole relationship despite the fact that it wasn't terrible she had this gut wrenching feeling like something just wasn't right but couldn't put her finger on it.  She wasn't sure if it was just her fears from Jasper or if it was legitimate so she kept ignoring it.  But this particular morning she couldn't shake it.  So she found his cell phone in the drawer next to his bed and turned it on.  The screen was black because it had broken months prior but it could still send and receive calls.  Jade hit the send button twice to dial the last number he called.  The phone rang twice and she hung up.  She laid the phone down and waited to see who would call back.  Finally the phone rang and she answered it.  "Hello."  on the other end she heard a woman say "Who is this?"  Jade responded "Jade, who is this?"  The woman said "Christina."  Jade was relieved she knew that Christina was Cole's ex's friend and that his room mate was interested in her and the two of them were having a sort of long distance phone romance.  Jade told her that Cole was at work and would call her later.  Christina said "Okay." and hung up.  Jade laid back down feeling relieved and a little silly.  Then moments later the phone rang again.  Jade couldn't help herself and answered it.  "Hello." she said.  "Hello, who is this?" A different woman said on the phone.  "Jade, Cole's fiance who is this?"  the woman replied "April, Cole's fiance."  Jade knew exactly who April was she was Cole's ex from high school you know the one he lost his virginity to the one and only other woman Cole had ever been with.  Jade replied "Yeah I know who you are April.  Quit calling my man.  You two have been broken up for some time now so get over it."  Jade hung up the phone angrily.  How dare that little bitch call her man.  She knew what the real deal was.  Cole had told her about how April kept trying to get back together with him.  Jade figured that was her trying to break to two of them up.  But something wasn't sitting right there's that feeling again.  So Jade calmed down and called her back.  April answered and Jade said "April, it's Jade.  I'm sorry I was in shock before and didn't know how to react.  I think we need to figure out what in the hell is going on."  April began telling Jade how they were engaged to be married.  That he had proposed to her just before he left for boot camp.  Jade told April about how they had met and how long they had been together and how he proposed to her too.  Jade wasn't even really sure how to react she was in complete shock and felt like an adulterer.  She was more concerned about how April felt to worry about her own emotions.  After all April did have him first.

Cole walks in to find Jade on the phone.  Jade smiles and says "speak of the devil.  Do you want to say hi?"  Cole asks who it is.  Jade continues to smile and says "Just say hi honey."  Cole took the phone from Jade and said "Hello?"  Jade walked across the room to get dressed and she hears April scream "I just met your fiance she's really fucking nice."  Cole's mouth hit the floor and he stared at Jade as she got dressed.  He responds to her by saying "I'm really sorry I met this girl and I completely fell in love with her and I didn't know how to tell you but I have to go because she's about to walk out of my life and I have to stop her."  Jade was pissed her eyes turned black and she gave him a piece of her mind.  "I knew something was going on.  I fucking knew it.  I should have listened to my feeling but I ignored it like an idiot.  How could you do this to me, to her, to us.  Take me home now!"  Cole responds "I didn't know how to tell her.  She's a really sweet girl and I didn't want to break her heart. I just couldn't figure out a way to tell her that I had fallen in love with someone else."  Jade says "So how was this going to work you're supposed to be taking me home to meet your family for Christmas how the hell did you think that was going to play out?" 

The whole time he was with her he was engaged to this other woman.  What the fuck!!  Cole brought Jade home.  She walked in to her apartment and sat on the couch still in total shock about what had taken place.  She didn't answer any of his calls for the next few days.  Finally a call came in and it was from Cole's commanding officer.  He asked her to come on base to speak with him.  She didn't see why it was any of his business but was curious as to what it was that he had to say.  She showed up on base and sat on his couch.  He asked her how she was doing and said that he had heard about what happend.  Then he told her about how he and the rest of the guys had known about April and the predicament that Cole was in.  Jade was livid that they all smiled in her face knowing a secret as big as that one.  The C.O. continued to tell her about how he really did love her and it was ashame that it all went down the way it did and that she should really think about weather she wanted to end it with him or not.  He explained how heart broken Cole was and how he could see how much Cole and Jade loved each other and he didn't want to see it end.  Jade left pondering everything that the C.O. had told her.  She felt like she would be betraying April by fixing things with Cole but decided that she deserved to be happy and she was so happy with him.  So she went and saw Cole and told him she would need time to get over what had taken place but that the two of them could work things out.

Jade didn't go home with Cole for Christmas but neither did Cole.  They were both too embarrassed to show their faces to his family.  Plus Jade didn't want to meet his family under the circumstances.  He stayed with Jade and spent Christmas with her and her family.  Jade never really got past what happened even as their relationship continued.  She became crazy jealous every time he was away from her or mentioned another girl even if it was just someone from his shop.  She had lost all faith in him.  Remembering that the summer before he had gone home on leave and knowing that he had been with April with out her knowledge.  

Finally she told Cole that she didn't think he was really ready to get married.  He had only been with two women in his life, her included, and she felt that wasn't enough experience to make a life time commitment to anyone.  So she made him a proposal.  She told him she wanted him to pick a girl any girl of his choosing and go out on a date with her.  She said if at the end of the date you still think you're ready to marry me than we will but if you decide that you feel like you need more experience than we will break off the engagement.  The rules were she didn't want any details.  He would treat it as a real date and if he slept with her he was to wear a condom.  Cole was mortified by her request but after some convincing he agreed to do it.  

Jasper III

It's here, it's finally here!!  Jasper is going to meet his new born son for the first time.  As Jade walks through the terminal to greet the love of her life her heart beats uncontrollably.  She is excited and nervous to see him.  More excited than nervous of course but still nervous nonetheless.  There he is, oh how he is as handsome as the day they met.  The two embrace one another baby in arm.  Jade hands Aiden off to Jasper.  Jasper says nothing he just stares at his first born child.  

The three arrive at their new home.  A beautiful apartment in a gated community.  It was a two bedroom with all the amenities anyone could ever hope for.  There was even a pool and a hot tub.  Aiden's room had beautiful french doors.  Oh how Jade loved her new home with her little family.  Jasper had traded his motorcycle for a car.  Everything seemed perfect.  Jade called her mother to tell her all about their home.  They didn't have a bed yet so the two of them slept on a blow up mattress and the baby slept in a laundry basket padded with blankets.  They would buy a crib later that week.  

Jasper went to work every morning at 5:00 am while Jade stayed at home to care for Aiden.  At first everything was blissful.  Jasper and Jade were rekindling their love.  Jade noticed that things between them had changed.  Jasper was no longer the romantic he was when the two first met.  Now he was mean.  He would take cheap shots at her every chance he got.  The abuse started verbally but soon turned physical.  Jasper made her do things sexually that she really didn't want to.  She had no where to go for help.  He stopped letting her call her family.  So from time to time she would sneak calls keeping them short.  She never told them what was really happening just made everything sound better than it really was.  On Thanksgiving Jade had, had enough and told Jasper that she would be leaving with Aiden to go back home.  Jasper didn't even put up a fight. 

The night Jade was scheduled to leave the two got into a fight.  It was the worst yet.  Jasper began to beat her ruthlessly.  Making sure not to strike her in the face but every where else on her body was free game.  He held her on the ground as she screamed bloody murder.  Aiden had woken to the sound of his mother's screams.  He was crying no he was screaming.  Jade looked at him from the floor and got angry with the sound of her child's cry.  She couldn't go and pick him up she wanted to so badly but Jasper's hold on her was to strong for her.  She finally let her anger fight for her and she pushed him off of her with all her strength.  She ran for her crying child and picked him up.  Knowing that Jasper wouldn't hit her with Aiden in her arms she used him like a shield.  Jasper just stood there from across the room staring at her with demon eyes.  Jade calmed Aiden down and laid him back in his crib.  The anger took over.  Her eyes turned as black as night.  She stood toe to toe with Jasper.  Feeling the anger course through her veins from her toes up through her legs to her stomach up her chest down her arms to her finger tips.  Just when she felt she was about to explode she waited just one more second letting the pressure build.  Then she released it.  Jade punched Jasper square in his mouth.  Jasper was knocked backward put his hand to his mouth as Jade watched him spit out his teeth.  Blood dripped from his gums.  Jade calmly sat on the couch.  Jasper regained his composure and stood over her with his fists balled up tightly as if he was preparing to fight a man.  Jade confidently said to him "Are you going to hit me?  Will it make you feel like more of a man?"  Jasper swung his fist in her face but stopped just before he would hit her nose.  Jade didn't even turn her face she just stared at him appearing to be calm but on the inside was engorged with fear.  Jasper turned and walked out the door.  Jade exhaled and began to cry.  

An hour later Jasper returned to find that Jade was still sitting in the same spot when he had left.  He sat on the opposite end of the couch.  They stared at each other for what seemed to be an eternity.  Jasper started laughing.  Jade said "This isn't funny."  Jasper responded "Jade you hit like a man."  Jade said nothing she just got off the couch and grabbed her and the babies suitcase.  She was ready to go home.

Jade and Aiden arrived back home to find her mother waiting for her at the airport.  Jade didn't say much what was there for her to say.  She was devastated and beat up.  Her mother wouldn't find out about what had really taken place for years to come.  Jasper never hit her in the face so there weren't bruises you could readily see.  No all her bruising was under her clothes.  The worst of the injuries was the one to her heart.  When Jade arrived back at the house she immediately went to her mother's room to lay on the bed.  Jade didn't leave that room for three days.  She cried day in and day out.  It was over and nothing could repair the pain he had caused her.  She would no longer be the sweet spirited young lady she was when she left.  Now she was bitter, jaded and her spirit was broken forever.  

 

Jasper II

Jade put her head in her hands and sobbed.  "My mother is going to kill me!!"  The nurse began telling her about her options.  Jade responded with "No we raise our children in our family and I DO NOT believe in abortion."  The nurse ceased to continue.  When Jade got home that afternoon she called Jasper to tell him he needed to come over ASAP.  Jasper arrived shortly after and asked what was so important.  When she broke the news to him he looked down then responded with you mean I'm going to be a daddy?  He was excited to receive the news.  WHAT THE FUCK!!!  I mean she was thrilled he wasn't one of those guys that asks "Is it mine" or screams abortion.  But hello she's 16 years old and still in high school for Christ sake.  Imagine the fear she felt thinking about how she was going to tell her parents.  

 

The next day she decided to just get it over with.  So she told her mother first.  Her mom responded with "why are you crying baby?"  Jade responded with "Because your mad."  Her mother said "How could I be mad about a new life being born."  Jade was relieved and surprised at how cool her mom was being.  She let her mom break the news to her dad.  Her family was much more supportive than she had originally imagined they would be.  They welcomed Jasper into the family with open arms.  

January came and Jasper left as scheduled for the United States Airforce.  Jade was devastated not only was she now having to go through a teenage pregnancy alone but she would miss the man she was completely head over heals in love with.  Jasper promised to come back for her.  

Jade waited patiently and faithfully for Jasper to return for her.  She wrote him a letter every day he was away.  He called her as often as he could.  It was rough for both of them but the love they shared was so strong.  Jade left school because the stress had become to much.  Now she just concentrated on preparing for motherhood.  Jasper had sent an engagement ring to her in the mail.  She wore it proudly.  It was small with alternating diamonds and emeralds across a gold band.  On the side of the band were cut out letters that spelled "I love you".  Finally in her ninth month he was able to come to visit her and of course to witness the birth of their first and what would be their only child together.  Through out the pregnancy they had their ups and downs the distance was driving a wedge between them.  He was less than gentleman like at times.   

She knew that he would be arriving that day to see her but tried to stay busy at work to avoid the anxiety and excitement.  For her it was like watching water boil.  Finally he walked through the door and they saw each other neither of them moved an inch as they just stared at one another.  Then almost simultaneously they walked toward each other.  They stood there frozen in time hugging.  They walked through the back door to sit in her car so they could have a private moment.  They kissed and hugged some more.  He said he would come over to her house as soon as she was off work.  He wasn't in town for very long only a couple of weeks.

The baby was late as they normally are with first time pregnancy's.  So the doctor's decided to induce labor.  Jasper was scheduled to leave two days before the induction.  Jade tried to convince him to have his ticket changed.  Her parents even offered to pay for the change fee's but he declined.  This shattered Jade's heart.  She was now 17, she had been alone for her whole pregnancy and now would be giving birth to her first child alone.

A week before the baby was scheduled to be born Jade's mother and Jasper sat out side in the motor home talking while Jade took a bath.  Jade walked in the motor home with a smile on her face and pep in her step.  She was happy why shouldn't she be.  Her love had returned for her and she was about to be a new mommy.  This was of course before she found out he wouldn't be there at the birth.  Jade heard her mother say to Jasper "How can you break her spirit?" she shook her head in disappointment as she walked out of the camper.  Jasper put his head in his hands.  Jade asked him what was wrong.  Jasper explained to her that when he left he would not be returning for her and the baby and that this was it.  Imagine the dis-pare Jade felt.  Tears streamed from her face as she listened with disbelief.  She didn't understand, she couldn't, after all they were in love.  

The day of the induction came and just as Jasper had promised, he wasn't there.  Jade was alone, frightened, and distraught.  Jasper called a few times but was more concerned with hanging out with his new friends.  She did so good the whole maternity ward was talking about it.  During the whole labor she was silent.  Through the contractions she relaxed her body closed her eyes and didn't make a peep.  The nurses joked that it was the quietest birthing room they had ever been in.  Jade was polite and as sweet as ever.  When the nurse told her that it was time to push she got frightened and wanted to reach out for Jasper but he wasn't there.  She took a deep breath, calmed herself down and gave birth to a beautiful 5lb 6oz baby boy.  Her mother cut the umbilical cord.  Jasper called several hours later to hear the news of his newly born son, Aiden.

After two months Jade received a call from Jasper who was telling her how he missed her and how sorry he was for abandoning her.  He told her how he wanted to bring her and the baby down to Arizona so they could all be together.  Jade loved him and was blinded by this so she happily agreed.  She left later that month baby in arms and their bags packed completely unaware of the trauma she would suffer shortly after arriving. 

Jasper

It was only a month after having her heart broken when she met the one.  Only this one really would change her life forever.  

He was very tall, 6'2" to be exact, skinny, toned body, black hair, piercing blue eyes with flecks of gold, and yet another smile to make a girls knees buckle.  He wore a black shirt with a pocket on his left breast.  Khaki dockers and a pair of black vans.  He was so good looking and cool.  She barely noticed him at first.  She glanced at him thought he was hot then immediately wrote him off as being way out of her league.  She hadn't planned on going to the pool hall that night she was only going out to get a subway sandwich but her friends talked her into it on a Tuesday night.  They were only going there to meet up with one of her friends, friend.  Someone she had never met.  This friend of a friend seemed nice a little whoreish but nice her name was Chastity.  Obviously her name didn't properly describe her.  Nonetheless she invited Jade and her friends over to a house she was watching while the owners were out of town.  They accepted and Jade and her friends along with her new friend Chastity left to get beer and wine coolers.  Chastity's "responsible" mother was buying.  After scoring the beer they drove back to the pool hall to get Chastity's other friend Nikki.  Jade offered to go get her.  So she ran in and out and off they went.  Remember, Jade had only planned to go out for food and return home.  So she wore jeans, a t-shirt and an army green baseball cap.  Which of course couldn't really hide her beautiful long hair.  

After getting to their "party" house.  Before Jade got out of her friends jeep she noticed that another car had pulled in behind them.  She watched to see who was going to get out of the car.  Low and behold it was the hot stranger from the pool hall.  Little did Jade know the handsome stranger was friends with Chastity.  Jade was excited that he was there and commented to her friends about it.  Not because she thought she had a chance in hell but because she just wanted to enjoy the scenery and let her friends know how much she truly was.  After her brief drool session they all got out of the jeep laughing at her.  When they entered the house Chastity introduced her hot friend to the rest of them.  Jasper, his name was Jasper and it fit him so well.  They all sat at the kitchen table cracked open a few beers and talked.  Since Jades friends knew that she had the hots for the tall stranger they made it so she had to sit next to him.  He sat at the head of the table facing the door she sat to his right facing the kitchen.  Jade is a smoker so she was yearning for a smoke after about an hour but resisted because no one that gorgeous could possibly be a smoker.  Rule of thumb none smokers don't like those that do.  (Yes that's right she was a 16 year old smoker don't act so shocked) Chastity got up from the table and announced that she was going to go to the other room to smoke.  Jade thinking "screw it he's out of my league anyway" decided to follow and since she was out of smokes she asked Chastity if she could bum one.  Chastity said of course.  Then what do we have here Jasper follows and lights up.  She couldn't believe it she was so relieved to know he also smoked.  After they finished smoking Jasper lit up another and she did as well.  Not because she really needed or even wanted another one but it was her only excuse to be able to hang out with him alone.  See when Chastity finished her's she went back to the rest of the group.  But Jasper and Jade sat in that room and talked for hours.  They talked so long that it was close to her midnight curfew.  Jades friend entered the room and said he was too drunk to drive and asked Jasper if he could take her home.  He hadn't had more than a wine cooler so he agreed.  Jade's heart pounded with excitement but held back from showing it.  

The car ride home was awkward and silent.  They went from talking for hours to complete silence.  They were both so nervous that neither of them knew what to say.  They pull into her driveway and she thanks him for the ride.  On the exterior she is calm, cool and collected but on the inside her heart is pounding violently her stomach has so many butter flies she thinks it's going to explode with little wings and legs.  She sweetly says "I would like to give you my number if that's okay"  Jasper quickly turns on the over head light and says absolutely and starts frantically looking for a piece of paper and something to write with.  Neither of them had a cell phone.  He hunts and comes up empty he nervously laughs and says you know for being an artist you'd think I would have at least a pencil.  Jade laughs at his joke.  Finally he finds a pen and hands it to her.  She writes down her number and hands it to him.  She turns toward the passenger door and opens it steps one foot out the door turns over her shoulder and says "don't be shy gimme a call" then winks.  She get's out of the car shuts the door and walks to her front door without ever turning around.  The coolest and smooth she has EVER been.  As soon as she entered her house she shut the door and puts her back up against it letting out a squeal and a giggle she slides down the door landing her butt on the ground.  Her mother was down stairs at the time and came to see what the ruckus was all about.  She says "mom I just met the hottest coolest guy and he drove me home."  Her mother laughed and said "Well good for you honey."  Jade proceeded to go downstairs with her mother to tell her all the juicy details.  The next day Jade went to school as usual.  When she got home her mother told her that Jasper had called two times.  Once when school was letting out and again at the EXACT time her mother had told him she would be home.  Jade jumped and screamed with excitement and ran to the phone to call him back.  He asked her out on a date for that night.  She couldn't believe it.  He was so out of her league how could this be happening to her.  Plus she looked so blah when she met him I mean really a baseball cap and no make up to say the least.  I mean she had good skin but come on this guy was super model hot.  So she decided that for their date she would be puttin on the Ritz.  She curled her hair and did her make up and put on a saucy little outfit (age appropriate of course) Oh and did I mention Jasper was 19? I know, I know what's with all the older guys trying to date this 16 year old girl.  But like I said last time, she did look and carry herself older.  

Jasper arrived at her house to pick her up as scheduled yellow roses in hand and all.  Her mother opened the door and invited him in then went upstairs to get Jade.  When Jade came around the corner and stood at the top of the stairs staring down at him she smiled as he pulled the flowers from behind his back.  After putting the flowers in the kitchen the two left for the evening.  The date was typical for a first one.  Dinner, movie and of course the knock your socks off kiss at the end.  She was no longer a virgin but isn't the type to give it up on the first date.  

He admitted to her that he had been invited to Chastity's house that night but originally had declined.  He told her that when she first walked into the pool hall she immediately caught his eye.  Then after seeing her talk to his friend Chastity he asked if she would be going to the house too.  When Chastity told him yes he said "Then I'm going to."  He also admitted to her that he was holding back from lighting a cigarette too thinking that she wasn't a smoker and wouldn't be interested if she knew that he was.  

After that first meeting the pair were attached at the hip.  He picked her up every day after she got out of school and they would spend the evenings together before dropping her back off at home just in time for curfew.  They spent every possible second together.  He was no longer in school, obviously, but had joined the Airforce and would be leaving for boot camp in 4 months.  Just after New Years.  The two of them were so completely in love it was sickening.  The sex was incredible the romance was something out of a movie and they knew each other inside and out.  One evening they were at his apartment watching movies and talking as they often did and he said to her your going to get pregnant this month.  She laughed and didn't pay his comment any attention.  

As the month went on his comment began to eat at her.  So she decided to do something about it and get on birth control.  So she scheduled an appointment with the free clinic.  When she got there they told her that they would have to do a pap and a pregnancy test before they could give her birth control.  No biggy she thought to herself.  The nurse gave her a pregnancy test and she went into the bathroom and did as she was told.  Then walked back into the exam room and waited for the nurse to return.  A few minutes later the nurse came in went into the bathroom to retrieve the test looked at it for a moment and said "I'll be right back I'm having a hard time reading it because of the light."  Jade paid no attention and kept waiting.  About 10 minutes later the nurse came in and said the two fatal words no 16 year old girl ever wanted to hear.  "Your pregnant" ........

Mason

Jade was a shy girl.  She didn't talk much in front of new acquaintances but get her around her friends and family and it's hard to shut her up.  She is a small girl both in height and in shape.  She has long brown hair that had never been touched by artificial coloring.  Her eyes are the color of dark chocolate.  When sunlight catches them they almost gleam brick red.  Get her mad and they are as dark as the night sky.  Her skin is an olive complexion but she hasn't been in the sun for so long that it appears as fair as snow.  She has freckles but only across her nose and on the tops of her cheeks just like Pippy Long-stalking.  They are faint until she gets a good dose of sun then they are much more noticeable.  She is a pretty girl but she doesn't know it and when people compliment her she blushes and doesn't really believe.  

One fall evening her sister's, sister-in-law, Bridget asked her if she cared to go bowling.  Jade thought it sounded like fun.  So they went.  Bridget was very beautiful.  Tall, slender, short brown hair, perfect skin, smart, you know the type.  Jade and Bridget bowled a few games trying not to notice the two guys bowling near by that had quite obviously noticed them.  They finally worked up the courage to ask if they could join our game.  They claimed that their other friends hadn't showed up.  The girls being polite agreed to let them join.  Only one of them was actually good looking his name was Mason.  He was tall, good build, gentle blue eyes, dark hair, perfect skin and a smile that would make any girl melt.  The other had a darker complexion, maybe Indian, bad skin, equally as tall as Mason, black hair, brown eyes but he was nice.  The four of them played several frames and had a great time joking and laughing and getting to know each other.  After they were done bowling they continued their banter out in the parking lot.  Mason finally mustered up the courage to ask Jade for her number.  Jade wasn't interested in dating him but as friends sure.  So she agreed to give him her number carefully instructing him not to call past 8:00 pm.  See Jade was only 15 years old but looked much older and was very mature for her age.  Mason was 18. 

He called her the next day.  They talked as if they were old friends.  Getting to know one another over the next few weeks.  He called her everyday like clock work.  He asked her if she wanted to hang out and she said yes.  Why not they had become such good friends.  Now Mason had other things in mind of course.  Mason came to pick her up and they drove around all night just talking and laughing and they really had a great time but as soon as Mason made his intentions known Jade, for reasons unknown, let him down gently.  Mason didn't give up on the idea of dating her.  He chased after her for a year.  Mason sent a dozen pink roses to her at school in a beautifully arranged floral vase.  Jade loved the gesture no one had ever done that for her before or gone to such lengths to get her attention.  At this point of course it had been a year so she was now 16 and Mason was 19.  She still resisted and he never gave up. 

One night Jade went to babysit her older sister's son and invited Mason over to hang out.  They watched a movie while the baby slept.  Then after her sister came home Jade walked him outside.  They hung out talking by the swing set for a while.  He pushed her on the swing then walked over to the post and watched her swing back and forth listening intently as she babbled away, interjecting when appropriate.  Mason finally couldn't take it anymore and kissed her ever so gently.  Her heart started beating fast and she felt a sudden swarm of butterflies in her stomach.  It happened right then and there she fell for him.  

For the next 6 months they were like peas and carrots so happily in love.  It was a new experience for her.  He would make her CD's and she would write him letters in class and give them to him later.  He would write her letters to read in class.  It was so blissful.  She was on cloud 9 but you know what they say what goes up must come down.  He dumped her, completely broke her heart.  She was crushed.  She didn't understand what she had done wrong.  All she knew was she gave in, took a chance, and lost.
